Is it Friday already? I don’t even know where this week went. Did I fall asleep and just wake up? I mean, really, what happened? This week has flown by quicker than I would have liked. I feel that I am extremely behind on everything. I would love to try to catch up this weekend, but I am heading off to a bachelor party for one of my good friends. It should be a great weekend, but I know I will miss my son. This will be the first time that I am away from him besides when I am at work. We will see how it goes.
I made a stride this week in figuring out what I want to do about my couch purchasing decision. Many of you chimed in and helped me make my decision. I will be purchasing a new couch with my cash back AMEX card and then will pay it off. This is what works for me, so I am happy with the decision. On to the Roundup!
New Series – Debt Diaries
I have been contemplating starting a new series for quite some time. I enjoy series posts, so I figured I would get into the game. Without further ado, I am introducing Debt Diaries. This series will post on Sunday mornings and will be a personal story of a Debt Roundup reader. This Sunday will be the first and we will hear about Tony S. If you want to submit your story, please follow the submission rules. I hope you all enjoy it and I look forward to be able to post these in the future.
Top Personal Finance Blog of 2012 Nominee
That is right, Debt Roundup was nominated along with many other great personal finance blogs in the contest being put on by Sean at One Smart Dollar and ReadyForZero. I am honored to even be in the running, so that is good enough for me. If you have enjoyed Debt Roundup and me, then please go over and vote for my blog. It would be awesome to win, but there is some stiff competition. I want to thank Sean and ReadyForZero for putting this contest on. What a way to build the personal finance community.
Website of the Week
This is a blog that I recently stumbled on. I have to say that I really enjoy it. I think it is designed well with clean lines and it just makes it easy to read. It appears by her archives that the site has only been around since December, but it has made an impression on quite a few folks. I like this blog because the articles are great, but also because she has the same story that I had. I was in $50k worth of credit card debt and was working hard to pay them down (which I did). She has a lot of debt and is allowing us to follow her journey toward debt freedom. If you haven’t done so already, go check out Girl Meets Debt!
Giveaway Extravaganza
I was lucky to be co-hosting three great giveaways that total close to $1,600 worth of cash prizes. That is right, you heard me right. You have three chances to win money from Debt Roundup. Don’t waste time and go enter to win. It’s free!
Mentions
Many thanks to all of those people and bloggers that link to my content. I really appreciate it and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Great idea for a series Grayson! I’ve been thinking of doing something like that myself, but then I’d also need more time in the day.
I can relate to the feeling behind idea. We had a crazy busy week, but that’s a good problem to have I guess when it means a lot more business. Have a great weekend!
