Top 20 Money Quotes to Inspire and Motivate

Top 20 money quotes to inspire and motivate

We all talk a lot about money around here.  Debt Roundup is dedicated to it.  I am a fan of money, but I am a fan of the possibilities which money provides.  There is no denying that money brings opportunities.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without working hard, starting this blog, and taking advantage of every opportunity presented to me. You choose what you want to do with those opportunities.  Some are dedicated too much to money and all they do is think about it.  Other understand that money is a tool and they use it appropriately to achieve their goals and dreams.  Then, there are those that can’t seem to find money and are falling behind those when trying to accumulate it. There are a number of factors which lead to this, but this article is not about jumping into economics, socioeconomics, and all the other factors.

I figured today would be a good day to share some great money quotes.  There are so many money quotes out there that I decided to bring it down to 20.  These are my top 20 money quotes to inspire and motivate you.  I hope at least one of them helps you change your mind about money. Since it’s a new year and you want to get a handle on your finances before the year slips by, hopefully these are your catalyst for change. These quotes are in no particular order.  Just as a note, this first one from Mike Rowe is not really inspirational, but I think it was dead on. I do enjoy brute honesty.  🙂

I'm a business owner, blogger, father, and husband. I used credit cards too much and found myself in over $50,000 in debt. I paid it off, started this blog, and my financial life has changed. I now talk about fighting debt and growing wealth here. I run a blog management company, along with another blog. It is Empowered Shopper, which helps people get information about products they want to buy. You can also check out Eyes on the Dollar, which is a great blog that I co-own.

#4 is certainly not original with the “Fresh Prince” or any other Will Smith. See https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Walter_Slezak for some background. Also see Will Smith’s wiki page that disowns the quote. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Will_Smith

    Enjoying the blog!

Thanks for sharing that information. The quote attributed to Will Smith (in a number of locations online) is slightly different in the beginning, though essentially the same. I do appreciate you bringing this to light though.

I will have to go with some Terry Pratchett….‘Money makes people rich; it is a fallacy to think it makes them better, or even that it makes them worse.’

That surely is a good one. Thank you for sharing.

That quote by P.T Barnum has the most impact and is my favorite. It’s really about understanding the value of money for us to be more financially responsible in managing money.
