The Weekly Personal Finance Digest – Race For the Cure Edition

Debt Roundup Personal Finance DigestHello everyone.  I hope you had a productive week and a nice relaxing weekend.  If you haven’t noticed, I have not been around much the past few weeks.  I have been slammed at work with a lot more responsibility and I am just trying to keep up.  I am happy that my workload is increasing, but it can get overwhelming at times.  Yesterday, my wife and I ran a 5k for Breast Cancer and then walked the same 5k.  This is an important cause for us because we have so many family members close to us that have been affected.  It was a long day, yet awesome.  I love reading and visiting the different personal finance blogs out there because I love the different opinions.  I have not been able to do this as much lately, but I am trying to figure out how to increase my reach.

I have a lot going on behind the scenes of Debt Roundup and I am happy about it.  I love digging in an getting things done, but there are so many things to do.  I also was given the opportunity to write on another blog once a week and that is starting this upcoming week.  I will provide more detail next week.  It is more responsibility, but it gives me another medium to share my story and help others.  That is really all that I want to do.

So, without further ado, I want to give you my weekly top list that you can go through.  There are some good ones in here and I think you will enjoy them as you drink your morning coffee.  Here we go….

About Grayson Bell

I am an average Joe, who built up over $50,000 worth of credit card debt and had to learn how to break it back down. It took 4 years of learning budgets, secrets, and many other personal finance tricks in order to cut the debt to $0. Now, I push to teach others not only how to get out of debt, but how to use credit wisely and how to start growing their wealth. You can view my other site, Sprout Wealth for ways to grow your money. I am also a freelance personal finance writer who provides staff writing and ghost writing services.

  1. What an important cause to run a 5k for. I too have family members who have/are dealing with cancer and it’s great to support that research. Neat about the writing gig. Hope that is a great experience for you.

  2. Thanks for mentioning Jen’s post Grayson, I really appreciate it! Congrats again on the new writing gig, I am sure it’ll work out well for you. That’s awesome you did the 5k. We have a close family friend who has spent the last 2-3 years battling stage 3 breast cancer. She’s in her early 30’s and they have 3 young kids which was nuts to think of, but just proof that it affects so many. Thankfully she was given a clean bill of health a couple of months ago. Have a great rest of the weekend.
