Join The Debt Movement and Pay Off Your Debt

Paying off debt is always one of the top of everyone’s new year resolutions list.  Losing weight is typically always number one, but I don’t have much interest in writing about losing weight.  Each year, we always take a look at our finances and figure out what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong.  We also try to figure out a plan to pay off our debts.  No matter what type of debt you have, whether it be credit cards, car loans, student loans, mortgage payments, etc., you should still come up with a sound plan to tackle paying off those debts.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could pay off a good chunk of your debt in 2013?

The Debt Movement

Since it is the beginning of a new year, I thought it would be great to try to provide some much needed motivation regarding personal finances.  Though we may think about paying off our debt and becoming financially independent, most of us just don’t do it.  There may be some good factors of why we don’t do it, but for the most part, we just aren’t motivated.  This carries over to weight loss as well.  Most people work out until about March, then slow down or call it quits all together.  I don’t want you to do the same thing to your “debt loss”.  You need some motivation and here it is!

I want to make you aware of this great movement developed by Jeff from Good Financial Cents and ReadyForZero.  They call it The Debt Movement.  This is a movement that is aiming to help people pay off $10,000,000 within 90 days.  Yes, that is correct, 90 Days!  All you have to do in order to join the movement is provide your email address and join.  You also should be motivated to pay off your debt.  The Debt Movement will be helping everyone by providing debt scholarships  education, and community involvement.  If you are wanting to get serious about paying off your debt, why not join The Debt Movement?

You might have caught that I said debt scholarships.  Well, I did mention it.  The Debt Movement not only wants to provide you with the proper education and community involvement necessary to pay off your debt, but they want you to enter to win up to $10,000 worth of debt scholarships.  Now, they are not just giving these scholarships away.  You actually have to earn it by showing them that you are working hard at paying off your debt.  If you are interested in joining the movement, then head over to The Debt Movement and join already.

If you want a change to earn a debt scholarship, then fill out their Debt Scholarship Application.  I hope you enjoy this movement and that is provides you with the necessary motivation to begin your “Debt Loss”!

    • The goal is to get multiple people. $10 million is a huge goal, but if we can get a lot of people on board, then we should be ok. Go big or go home!

  3. I’m assuming this only counts if you are paying down the principle of a loan, not the interest? So if 50% of my loan payment goes towards equity I would only include that 50%?

  4. Thanx fo the informative post! I think that to get out of debt it’s necessary to be patient and get ready for a long-term process. It’s important to understand that you have to change yur life, old habits and focus on saving money and budgeting. But it’s difficult and that’s why lots of people try but then take out personal loans or payday loans because can’t live within their means. Debt elimination is a complicated process and a person who wants to get out of debt should really change the attitude to money and financial habits. It’s necessary to cut spending and try to raise an income to succeed. Try to spend as less as possible and set a budget. You should remember that while you’re trying to get of debt it’s necessary to forget about your wants and spend money on your real needs only.
