Free Shipping Day Is December 17

Free Shipping Day Is December 17 shopping Alright procrastinators,   I have a little holiday gift for you.  Each and every year,  A large list of retailers participate in what is called “Free Shipping Day“.  This is close to the last day for regular shipping in order to gifts to arrive before Christmas.  These retailers all provide free shipping offers on this day to provide you with an additional incentive to make a purchase.  Check out my coupons page to see if you can find one for your favorite retailer that is participating.  If you like to wait to get your Christmas gifts, then why not take advantage of Free Shipping Day.  I have taken part in Free Shipping Day in the past and it has been great.  There are so many retailers that take part in this, and many of them still provide heavy discounts to online buyers.

As of the creation of this post, there are 1,127 retailers that will be participating in Free Shipping Day.  At midnight on 12/17/2012, FreeShippingDay.com will reveal all of the free shipping offers from these retailers.  You can even get an email sent to you with a nice reminder of the day.  Since each retailer has a different shipping deadline, the website has put together a nice list of all participating retailers and their shipping cutoff times.

If you are looking for a good deal and want free shipping, then I would wait until Free Shipping Day.  These retailers confirm that they will be able to deliver by Christmas Eve, barring any shipping interruptions beyond their control.  If you like to procrastinate, along with hating standing in line at the store, then shop online and do it on Free Shipping Day!

  1. I HATE paying for shipping! It just seems like it can add so much to the overall cost of the bill. I like using Retailmenot to find free shipping coupons. Thankfully most of my shopping is done, I just need to get a few odds & ends for my wife from a local store here & I’ll be done. Thanks so much for the mention of the giveaway!

  3. That is too late for my liking, I feel like my stuff wouldn’t get there on time. But hey, it’s a nice incentive to send gifts out, and if they can GAURANTEE my gifts getting their on time, then hey, why not?!

    • I have been a part of this day before, so I know that most of the retailers work hard to get your stuff out, but they don’t control the shipping company. You never know what might happen.

  4. Ohh I didn’t know about this! That’s really exciting, I can’t wait to take a look on the 17th!

  5. You’re so generous with all the giveaways :) Good for you, good for you.

  6. Hmmm….I have a couple of places that I will check to see if they are shipping for free that day. I wanted to buy some gourmet dark chocolate online the other day and the price to ship was more than the chocolate. Plus I love buying jeans online but again the shipping can be as much as the jeans are. Thanks for sharing!!

  7. The stores will come up for a name and day for everything won’t they? I hate paying for shipping. If I’m ordering something I always make sure I get to the minimum for the free shipping. Recently I bought some stuff at lands end and purposefully bought two pairs of pants in different sizes to see what fit. I kept the pair in the right size and returned the other pair. That way I didn’t have to pay for shipping and didn’t have to worry about if they didn’t fit.

Free shipping, woo-hoo! I am such a tightwad that I won’t purchase anything online unless free shipping AND returns is offered. Thank you for the heads up on this, Grayson!
